Soldier fatally wounded senior serviceman, then shot himself

An investigation is underway in the Third Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to clarify the circumstances of the death of two servicemen of the N military unit of the RA Defense Ministry.

On August 27, a report was received that on the same day, at around 4:00 p.m., at the combat position of the defensive area of the N military unit, soldier A. H inflicted a fatal gunshot wound to a senior soldier of the same position, A. Kh., from an AK-74 assault rifle, and then he shot himself with the same weapon.

Criminal proceedings are initiated under Article 155, Part 1, and Article 522, Part 2, of the RA Criminal Code. According to preliminary data, the incident is related to interpersonal, non-statutory relations. Urgent measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
