The premiere of the play ‘Aivazovsky. Three Elements’ will be held in the Russian city of Yaroslav on February 10 as part of the project that combines painting, poetry, theater, music, and animation.
The starting point of the project ‘Three Elements’ is a creative dialogue between two geniuses: Ivan Aivazovsky and Alexander Pushkin, whose 225th anniversary is celebrated in 2024.

Two recognized maestros, Russian composer Vladimir Martynov as well as Yaroslavl artist and Oscar winner Alexander Petrov, will join the dialogue between classical authors.

The main events of the project will be the exhibition ‘Ivan Aivazovsky’ in the Yaroslavl Art Museum and the premiere of the play ‘Aivazovsky. Three Elements’ at the Volkov Drama Theater.

The genre of the play is multimedia biopic.
The biopic tells the story of the famous man based on real facts and events from his biography.

The play explores how three elements merge into a single creative flow: painting, music, and poetry. Many of Aivazovsky’s paintings were born under the influence of the poems by Alexander Pushkin, whom he worshipped throughout his life.
