French Armed Forces Minister to visit Armenia

The French Minister of Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, told RTL that he will soon lead a delegation of parliamentarians to Armenia.

It will be Lecornu’s first visit to Armenia.

Lecornu noted that France is responsible for assisting Armenia and improving its defense capabilities, in particular by providing air missiles and armored vehicles. He added that Armenia faces serious security challenges, including “issues of sovereignty and border defense related to threats from Azerbaijan.”
