The Bryantsev Young Spectator Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia, will host the 25th International Youth Theater Festival on May 22–30.

The program of the festival will feature plays from Armenia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Belarus, and Tunisia.

Armenia will be represented by Hrachya Ghaplanyan Yerevan Drama Theater with the play Scarecrow, directed by Grigor Khachatryan, and Vardan Ajemyan Gyumri Drama Theater with the play Birdie, directed by Tatevik Melkonyan.

Scarecrow was staged together with the Armenian-Swedish public organization Global to Local. The main goal of the play is to raise awareness about the problem of bullying and its consequences.

Gyumri Drama Theater’s Birdie tells about a pure and bright friendship carried through life.
