We are Inter and our target is to lift trophies – Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Inter midfielder and Armenian national team former captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan released an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport three days before Inter’s 2024-2025 Serie A debut against Genoa at Marassi.

“We must do things well and work well even if many players have arrived at different moments. Everyone is doing their best to get in shape and start the new season in the best possible way. Nobody wants to be left behind.

We are Inter and our target is to lift trophies. We will work to win the Scudetto again. Generally, we want to do more than last season. So the target is to go even more far away in the Champions League. Then we have the Club’s World Cup. It is far away now, but it’s fascinating to think about it,” said Mkhitaryan, adding that they signed three new players. Taremi, Zielinski, and Martinez will help them throughout the season.

“Our strength is that we are a team in which everyone has a chance to play. If we help each other, we can win games. We are not going to lose our heads. We know we won the second star last season, but we are not yet satisfied. It will be tougher because the pressure will be higher. All eyes will be on us…Without hard work, we’ll go nowhere…there’s no other way to win the Scudetto and we have high motivation,” Mkhitaryan added.
