Armenia could be left with almost no export of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and greens if it loses its main buyer in the person of Russia, calculated by RIA Novosti based on data from the UN Comtrade platform.

According to statistics published on the UN platform, Armenia exported fresh vegetables and greens to Russia in eleven months of last year (December data has not yet been published), which are now subject to restrictions, for $73.96 million.

In terms of a full year, this is approximately $80.64 million, which accounts for 99 percent of all exports of vegetables that fell under restrictions (about $81.5 million for the year).

In particular, we are talking about supplies of fresh peppers ($37.1 million for 11 months), tomatoes ($32.78 million), greens ($2.52 million), cucumbers ($1.52 million), as well as asparagus ($16.7 thousand).
Besides Russia, Georgian cucumbers were imported in small volumes by Georgia ($23 thousand for the 11 months of 2025), peppers — Latvia ($517 thousand) and Belarus ($85 thousand), greens — Georgia ($162 thousand).
