The Armenian authorities are also silent, Artak Mkrtchyan, a member of the “In the Name of Artsakh” union, told Alpha News, referring to the demand for the release of Armenian POWs held in Baku.

“Unfortunately, the world is silent today. We have organized a protest and brought with us the flags of the UN member states, which are silently watching the illegal, sham trial of the former military and political leaders of Artsakh and other Armenian prisoners being held in Azerbaijan. In this way we are trying to address the whole world and show that we are not indifferent. It seems to me that this indifference comes from the Armenian authorities, because they are silent and do not take any steps for the fate of our POWs and missing persons,” Mkrtchyan said.

A rally was held today outside the UN office in Yerevan demanding the release of Armenian POWs illegally held in Baku.
