Armenian foreign minister meets with EU high representative in Brussels

On April 14, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met in Brussels with Executive Vice President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

The two sides discussed the progress of the Armenia–EU strategic partnership agenda and paid particular attention to preparations for the May summit in Yerevan. It was emphasized that the programs must deliver tangible results for the citizens of Armenia.

Initiatives to strengthen democratic resilience were addressed as a separate item. Mirzoyan and Kallas reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining and improving the effectiveness of existing mechanisms supporting democratic processes. The parties also noted the importance of joint projects in the areas of economy, transport, and energy, which contribute to enhanced connectivity and deeper cooperation.

At the close of the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
