CSTO expects lasting peace in the South Caucasus after Yerevan–Baku agreement

The CSTO expects that the normalization of Azerbaijani–Armenian relations will lead to a reliable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus. This was stated by Taalatbek Masadykov, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, at a meeting of the Council of the organization’s Parliamentary Assembly.
“We are not easing our attention to the situation in the Caucasus collective security region. It appears that efforts to find lasting peace and stability are continuing there. We note encouraging trends aimed at signing a comprehensive interstate peace agreement between the two countries. We expect that the settlement of Azerbaijani–Armenian relations is a reliable path to lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” he said.
