Artyom Turov, CIS IPA observer and deputy chairman of the RF State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs and Eurasian Integration, said at a press conference in Yerevan that electoral process participants had reported numerous instances of criminal cases against opposition representatives and their detentions as manifestations of administrative and political pressure.

“It is worth noting that these events took place even on ‘Silence Day,’ which raises certain questions,” Turov said.

He also commented on complaints from RA citizens regarding voter lists. Turov added that on election day they visited 14 polling stations, and many citizens raised questions related to voter lists. “Citizens raised questions related to voter lists, in particular, it was reported that in a number of residential apartments and houses, strangers were registered whom the residents did not know and were not acquainted with. This is reflected in the precinct protocols,” the Russian State Duma deputy concluded.
