Ocampo asks the Brazilian President to talk about the blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan

Argentine lawyer, independent international expert Luis Moreno Ocampo, who prepared a report stating that the blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan is genocide, gave an interview to the Brazilian edition of Folha de S. Paulo on September 1.

In an interview, he asked Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to speak on the Artsakh blockade at the UN General Assembly.

“Lula can use his opening speech at the UN General Assembly to talk about the importance of preventing the Armenian Genocide. It will be a great opportunity for Lula to demonstrate his global leadership and strengthen Brazil’s geopolitical position,” Ocampo said.

The expert expressed confidence that Lula’s position could help put pressure on some countries to prevent genocide.
