Yerevan has denied reports of a possible termination of its agreement with Russia on the supply of gas, petroleum products, and rough diamonds. Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure told the state news agency Armenpress that it had received no letters or notifications from Moscow on the matter.

Earlier, the newspaper Kommersant reported that a letter had been sent to the ministry on behalf of SergeyTsivilev, Russia’s energy minister, stating the possibility of suspending or unilaterally terminating the agreement should Armenia continue on its path toward EU accession.
