Karen Khachanov has made an impressive leap in the ATP rankings following a successful performance at the Toronto Masters. After beating American Alex Mickelsen 6–4, 7–6 (3), Khachanov advanced to the semifinals and earned 2,940 points in the updated rankings.
This achievement allowed him to surpass several top competitors—Tommy Paul (2,620 points), Daniil Medvedev (2,760), and Frances Tiafoe (2,890)—making Khachanov Russia’s second-highest ranked player.
Karen still has every chance to become the country’s top-ranked player. To claim that spot, he must win the tournament and overtake Andrey Rublev in points.
