Pashinyan is trying to ‘sell’ us yet another political myth – Arthur Martirosyan

The authorities are trying to “sell” yet another political myth domestically, Arthur Martirosyan, senior consultant at CMPartners and negotiation specialist, told Alpha News as he analyzed regional developments, the US Vice President’s visit, and the controversy surrounding the nuclear power plant.
According to Martirosyan, US Vice President JD Vance’s visit was not intended to signal a new turning point, but rather to preserve the government’s “mandate.”
“External players are trying to help Pashinyan convince the Armenian population that his mandate must continue so that he can complete the work he started,” Martirosyan said.
He stressed that in the current geopolitical chaos, no one can provide long-term guarantees:
“No one can give 100-year guarantees. We cannot even secure guarantees for a few years. This is a political myth invented by the authorities.”
Martirosyan agreed with the view that talk of $9 billion in investments is nothing more than a “propaganda bubble.”
“What has been signed is merely a bilateral declaration on joining the peaceful energy agreement, which already includes 26 countries. The document does not imply any investment, debt, or concrete promise to build a nuclear power plant,” he added.
