Negotiations on Iran have reached deadlock – Grigor Balasanyan
The negotiations around Iran’s nuclear program have reached a deadlock, and in the near future a sharp escalation is possible—even military action, international relations expert Grigor Balasanyan said in an interview with Alpha News.
“If the United States is not satisfied with Iran’s statement, it means the negotiations concern not only nuclear weapons, but the complete shutdown of Iran’s entire atomic program,” Balasanyan said.
He does not share the optimistic assessments regarding the negotiations and believes that the process has temporarily halted without real progress.
“The negotiations have reached a deadlock, and there are two ways out of the situation: either the US resorts to strikes, or it reduces its military presence. In reality, the continuation of negotiations is seen as a tool of pressure,” he said.
