Russia expands agricultural exports to Armenia

Russia has expanded exports of agricultural and industrial products to Armenia, said Vigen Yenokyan, head of the Russian Export Center’s office in the republic.
“If we look at the dynamics, for example, grain exports from Russia to Armenia grew by 55% in 2025 compared to 2024. Wheat exports rose by 19.6%, sunflower oil by 7.4%. Nitrogen fertilizers also showed good growth, with exports increasing up 7.4% year-on-year. Overall, the agricultural sector demonstrates only positive dynamics,” he said.
Russia’s trade representative in Armenia, Sergey Solomin, added that although the surge in bilateral trade in 2024—driven largely by re-exports of Russian goods through Armenia, mainly precious stones and metals—was offset the following year, traditional product groups continue to show steady growth and progress.
“In terms of the basic principles of trade between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, we are seeing consistent progress,” Solomin said, adding that within Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), these processes are developing even more dynamically.
