This fight is not being waged for the PAP’s interests: Iveta Tonoyan

The political team of the “Prosperous Armenia” Party, led by Gagik Tsarukyan, intends to fight the injustices committed in the tallying of the election results by every lawful means available. This was stated by the party’s press secretary, Iveta Tonoyan in a conversation with journalists.

According to her, the violations began on the very first night after the elections, when various manipulations were recorded in the counting of the party’s votes.

“From the very beginning we stated that we would use every possible legal avenue to ensure that the people’s right to free choice is fully realized. This process began with an appeal to the Administrative Court, then complaints were filed with the Central Electoral Commission, and now it is the Constitutional Court’s turn. Our team is determined to achieve the restoration of justice strictly through legal means,” Tonoyan emphasized.

She stressed in particular that this is not a matter of party interests, but of defending public justice, especially against the backdrop of the authorities’ claims about democracy and the supposedly free expression of citizens’ will.
