Armenian schoolchildren win 4 medals at the International Geography Olympiad

Armenian schoolchildren have performed strongly at the International Open Olympiad (openGeo 2026), organized by the Department of Geography of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Silver medals were won by Samvel Khachatryan, Erika Harutyunyan, Mikael Darbinyan, and Tigran Atyan, who took bronze.

The olympiad was conducted in English and included theoretical, cartographic, and multimedia testing rounds. It brought together 126 schoolchildren from 26 countries.
