Anna Grigoryan on total corruption in the Civil Contract party

Anna Grigoryan, MP from the Armenia faction, addressed Ruben Rubinyan, vice-speaker of the National Assembly, asking about his brother’s business activities and possible state patronage.

The MP saw a direct link between the appearance of state-owned shares in companies and the successes of Rubinyan’s relative.

“How is it, Mr. Rubinyan, that your brother achieves unprecedented success in organizations in which the government acquires a stake? I have no issue with either Mirzoyan’s wife or Rubinyan’s brother, but isn’t the patronage obvious?” Grigoryan stressed.

The opposition MP emphasized that the question has no personal subtext, but the facts presented point to systemic problems and a possible conflict of interest that cannot escape public attention.
