The goal of the processes around the Church is to intimidate the people: Hambik Sasunyan

Over the past eight years, the working style of the current authorities has pursued a single goal – to silence everyone who does not submit to the political course. This was stated to journalists by Hambik Sasunyan, a figure of the national liberation movement, commenting on the legal proceedings surrounding the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Armenian Apostolic Church.

“For eight years now, anyone who does not submit to or worship Nikol Pashinyan has been charged, accused of having done something 5, 20, or 50 years ago. Politicians, businessmen, farmers, and cultural figures have come under attack, and now the Church too. The goal is one and the same – to intimidate the people through judicial proceedings,” he said.
