The Fridays for the Future movement has issued a statement on Instagram on the issue of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), which is scheduled to take place in November in Baku.

The statement touches upon such topics as the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) by Azerbaijan, the detention of political prisoners of Artsakh, threats against Armenia, as well as the issue of an oil-based economy.

Fridays for the Future is an international public movement of schoolchildren and students, whose participants demand that politicians take “quick and decisive action” to combat global warming.
