The situation reached the point where even Arayik Harutyunyan cannot help but blame Nikol Pashinyan, the political expert Beniamin Matevosyan told Alpha News, referring to the interview of the President of Artsakh.
“When Arayik Harutyunan was talking about the meeting of Ilham Aliev with Stoltenberg regarding the so-called Zangezur Corridor, he said that, well, we thought it was just pressure before negotiations. This proves that authorities of both Artsakh and Armenia have undeniably serious problems with the risk assessment and management”, the political expert said, answering the question on what exactly Harutyunyan was trying to say in his recent interview, accusing Armenia of not fulfilling the 9th provision of the third-party agreement, and of the standstill of the communication system in the region which influenced the Artsakh blockade.
According to the expert, we can highlight several points from Harutyunyan’s interview:
“First, for the first time it was noted that Artsakh ended up in this situation because of personal decisions and actions of the Armenian Prime Minister, and that Pashinyan recognized Artsakh as a part of Azerbaijan. Second, if we translate from the “Copperfield” language of Arayik Harutyunyan, it turns out that Armenian authorities, being thoroughly informed on the negotiation process, made some invisible promises, which they did not keep. That is why, Artsakh ended up in this situation.”
“That is, Pashinyan recognized Artsakh as a part of Azerbaijan and did not provide any communications, to which he was commited. It is an essential event, and the situation has reached the point where even Arayik Harutyunyan cannot help but blame Nikol Pashinyan. It could be said that he showed him “a yellow card”, the political expert concluded.
