BMW uncovers second generation X2 crossover designed by Armenian Ernest Tsarukyan

The Bavarian company presented the second generation of the X2 crossover. The main designer of the project was Ernest Tsarukyan, a Russian of Armenian origin.

Ernest was born in Yerevan but moved to Moscow with his parents in 1988. In 2004, he graduated from the Moscow Automobile Mechanics Institute, and a year later he moved to Germany, getting a job at Volkswagen AG.

He has been working on the Lamborghini Aventador—his concept was taken as the basis of a production car—and the Audi A1.

In 2012, Tsarukyan started working at BMW Group, but his first production car debuted only now.
