Luis Moreno Ocampo visits Khrimian Armenian College in Buenos Aires

Luis Moreno Ocampo, the First Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, visited the Khrimian Armenian College and met with Armenian school students in Buenos Aires on August 27.

The meeting was attended by numerous students from Khrimian College, Marie Manoogian Institute, Vicente López Armenian School, Arzruní Armenian School, and Mkhitaryan School, as well as representatives of the Armenian National Council of South America, members of the school’s board of directors, and alumni. Ocampo encouraged students to participate in a campaign to condemn Azerbaijan’s crimes at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku.

Ocampo suggested that students use TikTok and other social media to condemn crimes in Azerbaijan using hashtags such as #COP29, #StopGreenwashGenocide, #FreeArmenianHostages, #FreePoliticalPrisoners, #COP29Exposed, #COPout29, and #COP29Azerbaijan.

According to Ocampo, the primary objective is the release of the Armenian leaders imprisoned in Baku, whom he considers hostages because the arrested Artsakh leaders committed no crimes. “This is a message to the other 120,000,” Ocampo said.
