Moscow exhibition to showcase valuable artifacts of ancient Urartu

Valuable artifacts of the most ancient city of Armenia will be presented at the exhibition “The Kingdom of Urartu. The heritage of ancient Armenia. Urashtu—Harminuya—Armina” in Moscow.

The event is timed to the 100th anniversary of the orientalist Svetlana Khodzhash.

The exhibition showcases different stages of the development of the history and culture of one of the main ancient Eastern states, Urartu (1st millennium BC).

Of particular value in the Urartian collection are paintings found at the temple of the god Haldi in the fortress of Erebuni, wine vessels or jars to store grain that are two meters high, art monuments made of metal and ceramics, and clay tablets.
