A widespread boycott has started in India, urging people to refrain from visiting Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ruzanna Ashughyan, co-founder and vice-president of the Armenian-Indian Friendship NGO, said in an interview with Alpha News.
“There are no Armenians in the border areas, but Armenians are living in areas where there have been massive power outages. There are no Armenian casualties as a result of the military strike. This is not a new conflict and it will continue if we take into account new weaponry and information struggle,” Ashughyan said, commenting on the escalation between India and Pakistan.
According to her, a positive outcome for Armenians in this situation is India’s widespread boycott of tourist destinations to Azerbaijan and Turkey.
“At the same time, people are advised to travel to Armenia if they want to organize a vacation, as Azerbaijan and Turkey have expressed their support for Pakistan, and Armenia has recently become a strategic partner of India,” Ashughyan added.
