According to the Statistical Committee, the consumer price index increased by 1.4% in 2024 compared to October last year. At the same time, twelve-month inflation rose in relation to food products and a number of important services and declined in the case of non-food products.
It is noteworthy that in the case of CPI, price growth in November was higher than that of the previous month. For example, if the twelve-month inflation in the food group was 1.7%, then compared to October last month, goods soared in price by 3.1%.
Special attention should be paid to the increase in prices for services: healthcare rose by 2.5%, education by 7.8%, and transport by 5.7%.
As a result, prices for essential products such as bread, flour, vegetable oil, vegetables, coffee, etc. have also surged. However, there are a number of products, the prices for which have decreased.
This wave of price increases is likely to go on in 2025, both due to external uncertainties and dram depreciation, which will also continue.
