Rosselkhoznadzor carries out monthly monitoring of products from Armenia entering the Russian market. Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergey Dankvert announced this to TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“We are currently conducting monthly monitoring of products entering the Russian market. We observe and analyze. If over the course of a month there is a rise in detected violations for any particular product, our colleagues enter into negotiations,” Dankvert said in response to a question about supplies from Armenia.

From May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import into Russia of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, leafy greens, and strawberries from Armenia. From June 2, the same restrictions were extended to supplies of sweet cherries, sour cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, and grapes. In addition, from June 3, restrictions were imposed on the import of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits from Armenia.
