The Kremlin expects Armenia to participate in the EAEU leaders’ meeting

The Russian side expects Armenia to participate one way or another in the meeting of Eurasian Economic Union leaders in Astana, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of Russia, told journalists.
“We expect that one way or another the Armenian side will still participate in this very important meeting, continuing its membership in the EAEU,” Peskov said.
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session and the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Astana on May 28–29. Previously, Pashinyan announced that he would not attend the EAEU summit in Astana on May 28–29 due to the election campaign. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan will represent Armenia at the EAEU leaders’ meeting.
