Armenia proposes Azerbaijan to sign a peace agreement, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Thursday at the closing session of the BRICS Plus/Outreach Summit in Kazan, Russia.

“Our assessment is as follows: already today, in its agreed content, the draft agreement defines, addresses and resolves all the principal issues necessary for a solid foundation for peace and normalization of relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. And we propose Azerbaijan to sign this agreement,” Pashinyan said.

He added that the draft is agreed upon by at least 80-90%. According to Pashinyan, the draft peace deal with Baku envisages the absence of territorial claims, non-use of force, and establishment of diplomatic relations.
