At the final stage of the Constitutional Court proceedings, based on the complaints of 7 political forces, Liparit Drmeyan, a representative of the Wings of Unity party, delivered an extensive speech. He stated that the 5-day-long court proceedings were unprecedented in terms of the volume of evidence presented, confirming that the June 7 elections were not conducted under conditions of equality and freedom.
The party representative sharply criticized the declarations of the ruling Civil Contract party’s election fund, revealing significantly understated property values compared to market prices, as well as undeclared expenses for campaign headquarters staff.
“The following picture has emerged: according to the facts presented here, each of CC’s 588 offices could have had at least 1 employee… If you calculate an average or below-average salary for an office coordinator, including all taxes, deductions, social contributions, etc., at 100,000 drams, that leaves us with 58,800,000 undeclared drams. Did CC’s election fund exceed the threshold set by the Electoral Code, if you include the data on employee salaries or their market value? Of course it did,” Drmeyan noted.
He added that, in the event of exceeding the spending limit, the court was legally required to declare the registration of CC’s electoral list invalid, which is a mandatory requirement.
