EU unblocks military aid to Armenia

The European Union has decided to unblock a €20 million military assistance package for Armenia under the European Peace Facility. The move followed Hungary’s decision to lift its veto.

The formal adoption of the decision is expected in January 2026. The funds will be directed toward enhancing the logistical capacities of the Armenian Armed Forces and increasing their interoperability with European partners.
