Speaking with Alpha News, Russian military expert Konstantin Sivkov commented on the new condition of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev who said that a peace treaty can be signed only after amendments are made to the Constitution of Armenia.

“Aliyev represents Azerbaijan, which is a country with a multi-vector policy. Azerbaijan maintains relations with Russia, Turkey, and other countries. And, obviously, this is not a secret that Aliyev, first and foremost, looks up to Turkey, and Turkey is a NATO country, so what do you expect?” Sivkov said.

According to the expert, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is one of the points that is extremely important for globalists.

“The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is one of the points that is extremely important for the globalists, and, accordingly, it is important for the West as a point where these forces can unleash another conflict. They need to increase pressure on Russia and prepare for new operations to dismantle Russia. For this, they need to unleash conflicts, including in Transcaucasia. And if peace is achieved between Yerevan and Baku, it will definitely be much more difficult to unleash this conflict. In conditions where there is no peace treaty, it is much easier to start military operations, either for the Zangezur corridor or for some other reason. That’s why, I believe, this is the main reason why Aliyev refuses to sign the agreement and is in every possible way preparing new demands as terms for signing the agreement,” the military expert concluded.
