The Officers’ House of the Western Military District in St. Petersburg, Russia, hosted a concert dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the great Soviet Armenian composer and conductor Aram Khachaturian.

Aram Khachaturian’s music was performed by the Military Orchestra of the Military Logistics Academy under the direction of Major Dmitry Malkov.

The program of the concert also featured little-known compositions. The concert began with the ‘Zangezur March’. It was written in 1938 for one of the first Armenian sound movies, ‘Zangezur’. This march was played for many years during the parades on the Russian Red Square.
