Azerbaijan launches a campaign against Argentine President and entrepreneur Eduardo Eurnekian

Azerbaijan has launched a smear campaign against Argentine President Alberto Fernández and Argentine businessman Eduardo Eurnekian. This comes after the President of Argentina condemned the Azerbaijan’s blockade in the Lachin corridor during his speech at the G20 plenary session in New Delhi on September 9.
In this regard, on September 11, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summoned Argentine Ambassador Mariangeles Bellusci and sharply criticized the statement of Alberto Fernández, calling it “unsubstantiated opinions.”

The Ministry threatened the President of Argentina, urging him to refrain from statements against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

As for Eurnekian, he was accused of protectionism.

“Eurnekian is a major financial investor for the Armenian separatists in Azerbaijan. He earns money in Argentina and invests in Azerbaijan to feed these people,” the statement said.
