ICRC team hands over parcels from relatives to Artsakh former leaders detained in Baku

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) handed over parcels sent by relatives from Armenia to the former leaders of Artsakh detained in Baku. This was reported by the Deputy Chair of the Azerbaijani Committee Against Torture, Elchin Shirinov, in an interview with the Azerbaijani media.

The parcels were handed over to former President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, first deputy commander of the Defense Army Davit Manukyan and former commander of the Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, who are being held in the Main Investigation Department of the National Security Service of Azerbaijan.

“During the meeting, the detainees stated that they were given the opportunity for weekly phone talks with their relatives. ICRC representatives handed over parcels sent by their families from Armenia to the detainees,” Shirinov said.
