Mher Abrahamyan: Turks are trying to stop Tavush for the Homeland movement
Turkey is trying to discredit Tavush for the Homeland movement, Turkologist Mher Abrahamyan told Alpha News, referring to the articles in the Turkish press about the movement.
“These publications are mainly directed against the Armenian Diaspora, besides, they justify the policy of today’s de facto government, which is completely pro-Turkish. By doing this, they are trying to discredit Tavush for the Homeland movement. They fear that the Armenian lobby in the diaspora will also become active, and it will be possible to stop this shameful process that is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan today,” Abrahamyan said.
According to the Turkologist, everything is being done to stop the movement led by Bagrat Srbazan.
“The Turkish and Azerbaijani governments will support today’s government by all possible means to achieve their goal. Their publications are directed against Bagrat Srbazan to stop this movement. This further proves that the movement has a wide response. Using such methods, they are trying to discredit the movement, they are trying to stop the support of the Diaspora. It is one of the important points for the Turkish government,” Mher Abrahamyan concluded.
