Russia adopts statement on suspended participation in OSCE PA

Russia’s Federation Council adopted on Wednesday the senatorial part of the Russian parliament’s statement on suspending the participation of its delegation in the OSCE PA, RIA Novosti reports.

“The senators of the Russian Federation and members of the State Duma consider it reasonable and legitimate to suspend the participation of the Russian Federal Assembly’s delegation in the OSCE PA, as well as the payment of contributions to the OSCE PA budget. During the period of suspension, any actions to amend the Assembly’s rules of procedure aimed at harming the Russian delegation will be considered legally void,” the statement of both chambers of the Russian parliament reads.
